Statement from BCDC Committee

Update from BCDClub committee February 2021

Hello to all our lovely Club members in 2021, and a special welcome to anyone joining us for the first time this year.

As you all know we currently find ourselves in lockdown no. 3, which obviously restricts our Club activities, but we will not be completely beaten by this wretched pandemic! I hope you have checked out our latest diary of events for 2021. Using suggestions from the membership, our committee have tried to give you a variety of activities to look forward to despite the restrictions Covid throws at us and whilst we are still governed by the strict lockdown, we cannot confirm any dates. We can, however, put on virtual activities for some of you (e g virtual Quiz in Feb, Horse First Aid in March). I am ever conscious that not everyone has access to PC’s, tablets, etc. and that is most frustrating but I hope those who are in that situation will be able to access some of the other events and activities we have planned for you. Whether you are PC compatible or not you are all equally valued as Club members.

The Car Treasure Hunt in April is a first for us and as we don’t have to get out of our vehicles it is lockdown friendly. All you need will be a mobile phone, maybe another family member or a dog for company and…. a car! Details for this will be out in due course and it won’t matter if you aren’t familiar with the area around Sevenoaks. This is assuming we will be able to travel further afield by then.

We will always keep you up to date with any events that we can go ahead with or have to cancel/postpone at any time. Please do contact any committee member or me if you have any questions and/or suggestions about our Club events and activities throughout the year.

In the meantime, please take care, stay safe and I look forward to seeing many of you at our events during 2021.

Best wishes

Debbie Tatton, Chair BCDC, on behalf of the committee
